Kim McBean

Toronto Ontario

Kim's passion in yoga lies in connecting with others, and sharing techniques that encourage physical and psychological growth and healing. Her goal is to promote self-discovery and spiritual development in a safe, caring and creative space. To offer a warm and compassionate environment that allows for others to go deeper, and meet the experience of being fully alive. Kim was first trained to teach at The Nosara Yoga Institute in Costa Rica in 2004. She studies somatic-emotional evolution and various forms of yoga including dynamic vinyasa, restorative and yoga therapy. Kim hosts international retreats, teaches classes and workshops, and offers private therapeutic yoga sessions in Toronto. Kim recognizes that trauma and injury are most often doorways into, and opportunities for transformation. Pursuing therapeutic interventions, has allowed her to live with greater integrity in the daily experience of her own healing process. Kim sees yoga as a path to awaken consciousness, and a gift to nurture a more intimate union with self. It is her intention to serve others in a way that supports their own spiritual and physical potential. Her mentors include Amba and Don Stapleton, Hali Schwartz, Judith Lasater, Gregory Nye, Pat Harada Linfoot and Scott Davis.
