Welcome to 'For Every Body Yoga' with Karen Beaney, RYT 200 (Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance.) I have been practicing yoga for a number of years and have completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in Lakefield with 'Living in the Self' in July of 2015.I teach Hatha and Laya yoga with a focus on encouraging people of all shapes, sizes and abilities to experience the wonderful world of yoga. Classes are being offered in the community. Private classes are also available. Hatha Yoga: A fun yet challenging yoga class based on the 8 Limbs of Classical Yoga. Increase your strength, flexibility and mindfulness. Class es will incorporate asanas (postures) with pranaya ma (breath-work) and will periodically touch on the practice of dhyana (meditation.) All classes include an inviting savasana (relaxation) at the end to ensure your body and mind are relaxed and rejuvenated before you leave. Gentle Yoga: A much gentler, softer version of the above Hatha class. Gentle Yoga is perfect for those that are looking for a much slower pace than a traditional Hatha Yoga Class. Perfect for those wishing to increase strength, flexibility and range of motion. Please note that participants must be able to get up and down off the floor at least twice during this class.
