Christine Felstead’s yoga for runners© offers a wide range of products and services geared to the specific needs of runners and endurance athletes. Yoga classes designed to meet the needs of athletes to balance the strength and flexibility in key muscle groups. It’s not about overall flexibility – these classes are based on a deep understanding of biomechanics and what is required to balance a runner’s body in order to avoid injury and enhance athletic performance. In addition to weekly drop-in classes, workshops with specific body focus are offered throughout the year. These may include: Healthy Knees; Hips and Hamstrings Intensive; Yin Yoga for Runners; Healthy Shoulders. Also available are Christine’s best selling dvds: Yoga for Runners: The Essentials, Beginner Program and Intermediate Program and the Yoga for Runners book, quickly becoming the runner’s bible to health! Watch for the upcoming Yoga for Runners Education Series, a 6 session series of progressive classes with a focus on anatomy and alignment detail for an effective and intelligent yoga practice. Twice per year you can attend one of Christine’s Yoga for Runners retreats – a week-end of activity, healthy eating and conversation that will leave you restored, regenerated and revived! Once per year the Yoga for Runners© Teacher Training Program is offered. This unique course is ideally suited to yoga instructors, fitness professionals, running coaches or students that want to gain a deep understanding on the effect of yoga on the athletic body.
