We are a Yoga Alliance Approved Intensive School Abroad. RYS-200 and 300! This adds up to 500-hour Advanced Teacher status! Our Trainings specialize in teaching you how to use (and create) Safe, Effective and Interesting Sequencing in your own classes. Our YTT-200's and 300's classes are typically quite intimate (12-16 maximum but averaging 7-9) in comparison to the "regular" yoga schools (which can be in excess of 35 students cramped into tiny shalas...yuk) to ensure the best possible education & maximize your important practicum hours. You will each teach a full yoga class (solo) before graduation and way more than that. Many schools pack in so many people (and with only one instructor) that your practicum hours are nil and you actually share that precious one hour of teaching with 2-3 other students.

We do things a bit differently and are proud of that. We have you start teaching from day one. Actually, it's earlier than that because we give out prerequisite work! AND it's pertinent, interesting work including learning from videos and correspondence projects. I personally have taken three 200 and 300-hour trainings. I also assisted in teaching YTT's before starting my own school. Over the years I've picked up on what works and what doesn't. Our school WORKS! We touch on many subjects over and above the Yoga Alliances guidelines for a Certified Yoga School and you receive way more than 200 and 300 hours of Seriously great education.

Yoga Maya also brings Yoga to you in exotic locations. We love Mexico and this is our base but we also run around Costa Rica, Sri Lanka, Panama, & Greece. You name it and we will go there and set up a YTT (if there is a beach and some sunshine of course).

Yoga Teacher Trainings (YTT-200's and 300's = 500) and Classes range from private to group, Yoga & Muscle Sculpting Band Pilates to profoundly relaxing Meditations, Yoga Nidra and of course, my personal favorite; Pranayama. Our workshops and YTT's are geared towards rapid intense learning. We are Yoga Alliance Approved for Continuing Education and we don't come up with any silly scheme to charge you for the CEU hours. Join us for a 20, 30, 50 or 100 hour Yin Yoga Certification (or CEU) or an Amazing Pranayama Workshop!

Specializing in Yoga Teacher Training Intensives of 2 to 4 weeks. You will enjoy taking your yoga to a level where you can teach a creative Vinyasa, and teach it well. Extensive emphasis at Yoga Maya is on sequencing. This is paramount. Learning how to put a Vinyasa, Yin, and even a Hatha class together that is safe and effective. Our main focus is Vinyasa, you also have the opportunity to play with Yin and just a tiny bit of Hatha. This uniquely diverse training will open many doors for you in the yoga world as a multifaceted teacher. No other program can honestly say that.

We put together Intensive Trainings because you asked for it! A YTT that spans 6-12 months is great but can be difficult to attend. With our intensive classes you can leave completely the responsibilities of your daily life and fully focus on just your yoga. This is Muy Bueno. And of course, we are in a wonderful setting. Many times it's full accommodation. You can and will focus on the training. AND make life long friends with your new yoga buddies.
