Designed for older adults who want to improve their physical activity and boost their energy levels.
Yoga for Seniors is a very gentle series designed for older adults in their 60’s, 70’s and 80’s who want to improve their activity levels and build strength, balance, mobility and range of motion in their joints and spine.

The class will include breath work, meditation, gentle stretching, a balancing sequence and relaxation.

In addition to the physical health benefits, attending yoga classes is a wonderful way of building one’s social network and studies have shown the yoga aids in reducing symptoms of stress, depression and fatigue.

Yoga classes are generally conducted on the floor on an exercise mat. For seniors who have limited mobility, the poses will be adapted to the chair. Please note that there is elevator access to our studio - call our studio to inquire at 416.929.9642.

Suitable for seniors who have had no yoga experience or have had limited physical exercise recently. For seniors who are active and consider themselves in good physical condition, consider our 50+ Yoga series.
