SOYA RYT200 4-month Yoga Teacher Training in Creston, BC

Friday February 9th 2018 - Sunday May 27th 2018

Location: Creston, British Columbia
Daily Schedule: Weekend session over 4 months, meeting 2 weekends per month. Starts Friday 6pm. All other days are 7:30am to 6:30pm.
Cost: Save $300 by registering before Dec 9th and pay $2849 + GST where applicable. After Dec 9th pay $3149 + gst. After Jan 1st the price will be $3025 + GST where applicable for a total of $3130. For the early bird pricing, a $625.00 deposit is paid directly to Gail Thompson and $2205 including GST is paid directly to SOYA. The SOYA 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training is rich with daily practice in pranayama, asana, meditation and philosophy study while establishing and developing teaching skills. SOYA

Our Teacher Training is alignment based Hatha Yoga and incorporates thorough study of Yoga Philosophy. This outstanding aspect of the SOYA Teacher Training Program embraces unity in all yogis, regardless of their paths and styles of yoga ("The paths are many but the Truth is One." Swami Sivananda). Our RYT200 Hour Teacher Training includes studies in:
- Teaching Asanas, Modifications & Adjustments
- Creating Lesson Plans (Sequencing, Progressions, etc)
- The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali
- The Bhagavad Gita
- Sanskrit Pronunciation
- Kriyas and basic Pranayama
- Chakras, Meditation and Professionalism
- AM and PM Asana Classes in various styles of yoga including Anusara, Ashtanga, Yin, Gentle Hatha and more.

During the weekend session students receive detailed instruction and practice in various styles of Hatha Yoga such as Ashtanga, Sivananda, Flow and Yin. The training includes philosophy, meditation, mantra, pranayama, anatomy, asana and teaching skills as part of the comprehensive curriculum. Philosophy lessons are reviewed, discussed and put into practice. Students practice teaching throughout the entire program, and create a series of lesson plans, developing confidence and expertise in their teaching skills and the ability to modify asanas for most people's needs.

Upon completion students receive a 200 hour certificate and are eligible for registration with Yoga Alliance as RYT200 (Registered Yoga Teacher 200 Hr). Registration is recommended two months prior to the training to allow time for the written assignments to be completed.

This extended program is led by Gail Thompson, ERYT500, IYTA. SOYA has been training yoga teachers at International standards for 20 years! Train with the confidence you will acquire the necessary foundation and skills to teach well balanced and aligned yoga classes!

Additional Requirements:

Homework in philosophy lessons and anatomy should be completed prior to the start of the program so it is recommended you register 1-2 months in advance.
