Yoga Rituals Studio & The Andrea Olivera Centre for Ayurveda
 1. Tell us about yourself and your centre
Andrea Olivera is a proactive, highly trained leader in the revolution of the Ayurveda Spa industry. Her excellence is demonstrated clearly by a successful career expanding over twenty years as a Spa director, Ayurveda Specialist and Educator, Aveda Educator, Aromaologist, Advocate for Ayurveda Awareness and Director of Ayurveda Expos. Andrea has provided comprehensive Ayurvedic training to prominent spas such as Civello Salon & Spa, and Aveda as well as an extensive list of other Canadian spas.
Many progressive yoga studios like Toronto's Sananda Devi Yoga studio, Downward Dog Yoga studio, JivaMukti Toronto, The Yoga Sanctuary, Balance Yoga studio, Bliss Yoga and Calgary's YogaDown studio have incorporated training components provided by Andrea Olivera Centre for Ayurveda the Mother of Healing.
Today Andrea Olivera and her life partner Ali Golbabai have opened up Lethbridge Alberta first Ayurveda Yoga studio and first Hot Yoga studio!
2. What styles of yoga you offer? Does your studio specialize in one?
We offer Bikram-Bishnu style in Hot Yoga.
3. When did you open your studio?
Yoga Rituals studio has just opened this month jan 2010 and has brought the healing wisdom of Yoga and Ayurveda to Alberta in Lethbridge Alberta the studio is located in historic downtown Lethbridge providing several yoga classes a day along with Lethbridge's first Yoga Teacher Training and Ayurveda educational workshops.
4. What makes your teaching or studio unique?
At the studio we provide Hot Yoga, Therapeutic yoga, Hatha and Traditional yoga studies as well as Plus Size Yoga, yoga for the round bodies and its a hit here!
Andrea created a program called F.U.L.L. Females Uniquely Living Large, and as a fully Kaphagenic bodymind type Andrea knows well the challenges in Living large on a small planet.
F.U.L.L caters to supporting the larger woman with yoga classes, lifestyle management for the Kapha bodymind type, as well as a Plus size fashion clothing line!
5. Do you or your studio provide other services other than yoga?
Andrea Olivera has created Rituals Ayurveda Botanical skincare line and Rituals of Scent natural perfumes to assist the educational workshops that she brings into spas around Canada as well as now Yoga studios wishing to integrate Ayurvedic treatments and bridge the sisterhood between Yoga and Ayurveda.
Rituals Ayurveda products are a collection of ancient recipes for modern lifestyles inspired and supported by six important factors: Ayurveda wisdom, up to date esthetic expertise, scientific botanical research, extensive aromatherapy knowledge, modern technology and deep rooted healing traditions.
In Toronto The Andrea Olivera Centre for Ayurveda the Mother of Healing now opened an Ayurveda student clinic where the advanced students from the Ayurveda Spa Specialist program provide rejuvenating therapies guided by Andrea at reduced prices for all to enjoy!
The services provided by Andrea at the centre are Ayurveda Facials, Abhyanga Ayurveda massage, shirodhara, Karmic life readings, Karma Release therapy, Indian Head massage and Chakra Aura Clearings. The students at the studio provide the Ayurveda facials,Indian head massage, and Abhyanga massage at reduced prices.
At the centre a gifted therapist of TCM and Reiki Master as well as educator in Cosmetic Acupuncture, Reiki, Shamanic studies, Yoga therapies Tony Tavares works with Andrea providing acupunture sessions, Tuina and Ayurveda massages, Shamanic readings and courses.
Amelia Olivera, Andrea's mother provides traditional Spanish Tarot card readings! Reiki classes in Spanish and assists Andrea with the formulations of the natural Rituals of Scent perfumes.
6. How long has The Andrea Olivera Centre for Ayurveda been around?
The Centre in Toronto is about 10 years old and is located in the King and Bathurst area in a private by appointment only studio. As Andrea caters to the Film festival providings services to many celebrities and is known as Torontos RED CARPET FACIAL!
7. What teachers have inspired you?
Our inspiration came from our association with our Guruji Mantriji, who is a Jyotisha Vedic astrologer, and more, For the last 15 years of Andrea life she has dedicated her studies in Jyotisha, Ayurveda and the Wisdom of the Vedas with Mantriji and received many teachings and instructions from his students such as Dr.Robert Svoboda, Hart De Fouw, Davis Batson, Susan McNaughton and yoga teachers such as Carmela Savoia and Anandasakti Saraswati .
