YOU ARE WHAT YOU LIVE! - Bridging the Bodies
 By Kelly Mercer

As eastern philosophy and medicine increasingly influence our compartmentalized western world, many of us are starting to realize that what we do, say, eat, and think affects the state of the world we live in. In a personal immediate sense and in the world view, everything that we are - our health, our happiness, and our success in life – is our own making, and therefore our own undoing. We all know it on some level, but how many of us are actually willing to live it?

It is though our awareness or, more to the point, our ignorance that has brought us to be living in a world where nothing is ever enough, and where diseases like endometriosis and cancer are like taxes and traffic jams. A world where we blame everything on everyone else, and sidestep our own responsibility even when the situation is directly dependent upon us.

Somewhere along the road, we started listening to everyone else, and stopped listening to the innate wisdom that we carry within us. Every day our bodies - Physical, Emotional and Mental - are trying to guide us towards a healthy, happy and fulfilling life. Either the older generations have stopped teaching us about this wisdom, or we are no longer willing to learn how to listen to this sacred language. Regardless, the fact is that we have lost it… and if we intend to live on this planet for much longer, we need to get it back.

Physical disease our bodies’ last resort in trying to tell us that we are out of balance. Before a disease registers in our body, it has been sitting and festering as an energetic blockage for quite some time. This blockage has either stemmed from an emotional block or a mental block. Some of these blockages have been created by ourselves in this lifetime; some have stayed with us from previous lives and now manifest as an opportunity to release the blocked energy and the life pattern that comes with it. What about the diseases that we can’t attribute to our own neglect – like asbestos poisoning, and some cancers that can be directly linked to “circumstances beyond our control”? With everything common sense needs to prevail, but ask yourself this… why do some people get the flu, while others don’t? Why do some get food poisoning while others don’t? Diseases will always take the easy way… they are not into hard work. They find the “weak spot” in your body, a place where you have blocked energy from other traumas – conscious or subconscious – and it will attack there.

Having awareness as to how your physical, emotional and mental bodies speak to each other – and therefore understanding the language that is underlying your particular health patterns, good or bad - is crucial to living a holistic and healthy life. If every able human being took responsibility for their own health and wellbeing, the overall consciousness of the world would improve. People would stop wasting time and energy looking to everyone else - both personally and globally - for their happiness and wellbeing. We need to reconnect to the big picture of why we are here on earth, reconnect to the energies that make up our selves, both earthly and ethereal; reconnect the bridges between the bodies within us that create our experiences; Become aware once more of the fact that each of us is a complete being. Every answer, every wisdom is already within us waiting to be discovered, all the while reminding us of just how interconnected we are with each other and the world we live in. That we are All One. After all… are we humans having a spiritual experience, or spirits having a human experience?
