You have a body. It got me thinking about how inadequately we express ourselves when it comes to our inner life and spirituality. We have this incessant need to separate our body from our mind and our thoughts from the soul, when in fact they’re all inseparably intertwined. We live in a world that is absurdly individualistic and we feel alone because of this notion, when nothing could be further from the truth.

Being in balance with yourself is a prerequisite for accomplishment on any other level in life, but people somehow still believe it’s the other way around. This is why I believe it’s important to talk about this subject and shed some light on what you can do become aware that you are one with mind, body and soul.

Find Time to Be with Yourself

It’s incredibly easy to condition ourselves to constantly do something, hang out with someone, find distractions or be a busy mess, and all that pulls us away from who we truly are. I’m not saying that being hectic sometimes isn’t who you are, but it’s just a tiny part of it, while the rest of you is utterly neglected. Finding ways to come back to yourself and how you truly feel and are should be easy and natural, but has become a real challenge that every modern man and woman faces.

When was the last time you were able to sit quietly and just breathe? When did you let your creative energy run wild and crate something completely ridiculous and beautiful in the process? We choose not to have me-time because we dislike being alone, even if it’s jusr for a couple of hours. You wouldn’t believe how much of a difference spending some quality time with yourself can make until you give it a try. Meditation is always a great path to finding stillness and joyfulness within and even if you’re not sure how to get to it, do something that you enjoy and what relaxes you, and notice how different you feel after doing that. Don’t be afraid to be alone, you are your own companion forever, so why not do your best to be in great company?

Remember to Be Grateful

Everybody’s talking about gratitude these days, but not everybody is able to do it right, mostly because they see it as chore that needs to be crossed off the to-do list. Being grateful is anything but a part of routine, seeing that it gives you an opportunity to understand and appreciate all the things you’ve got going for you right now. If you’re honest with yourself and are able to truly feel how important and positive something is in your life, gratitude you will feel will completely overwhelm you, as it should. One of the most important things about gratitude is that it sets you into a positive light mood, no matter how difficult your day has been so far, it shifts your frequency and allows you to be in tune with yourself. In these circumstances, all you say, do and feel will be much more profound and will have more meaning to you, unlike all the mindless scrambling through bleak reality. Once you begin to understand you’re in charge of your own life completely and start accepting that responsibility, everything in you and around you will start to change for the better.

Take Good Care of Your Body

An old Latin proverb claims that a sound mind can be found in a sound body and if you’ve ever experienced the clarity of thought that comes after physical activity, you know this is true. Unless you take control over what you eat, drink and how much you move throughout the day, it will always get in your way of wellbeing. Besides, like we said, if you want to be in balance, then it’s essential that you constantly improve every level of your existence. That means doing your best to provide yourself with healthy high-quality food, finding time to exercise and be in nature and in general keeping your body in check. This doesn’t sound like too much work, but we often find excuses not to be responsible for ourselves, which can lead to disease and injury and nobody wants that.

Don’t Allow Your Mind to Stress You Out

There are always rough patches in life, no one can deny that, but the key to any situation that you encounter on your life path isn’t in the event but how you react to it. There may be people in your life that piss you off, pressure you and make you feel bad, you might be facing serious financial troubles or a health problem is bothering you, but stressing out about it is never a solution. Your mind is conditioned to keep you in patterns of worry and fret caused by past events or uncertain future, when the present moment, the only thing you truly have, is completely overlooked. Find the stressors of your life, hotspots that make you anxious when you think about them and then seek out solutions that will help you get rid of them. This is a long process and it will take time and patience to go through it, but the peace you get from it will allow you to make better decisions and not surround yourself with people and situation that hurt you.

Owning who you are in every way isn’t easy, in fact it’s one of the biggest life challenges you need to go through. As you consciously start doing what’s best for you, you will feel all the pretenses and false identifications fall away and what you’re left with is who you truly are, without a mold you need to fit in. – Vanessa Davis

[45,38,51
108,92,109,90,7,99
