Whether the violence is sexualized or not, gender-specific abuse and aggression is a very real issue, one that we aim to address and raise awareness and funds for on International Women\u2019s Day. 100% of the proceeds of this event will be donated to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.womenaware.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">Women Aware\/Femmes Averties<\/a>, a Montreal-based organization created by a small group of domestic abuse survivors intent on transforming their wounds into their purpose.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t fool yourself &#8211; if you are a woman, have a daughter\/sister\/mother\/<wbr \/>niece\/grandmother\/<wbr \/>grand-daughter\/aunt or simply know someone who is female, this issue affects you. Please come out on Sunday, March 8 from 13h-15h &#8211; if you want to participate in the yoga practice, bring your mat. If you\u2019d rather just show up in solidarity with women everywhere, your presence is enough.
