Algonquin Medicine Man

Ottawa Ontario

Algonquin Medicine Man (Pete Bernard) is an Algonquin from the Algonquins of Pikwàkanagàn First Nation in Golden Lake, Ontario, Canada. He is the President of the Federally Incorporated Not-For-Profit Organization “The Rainbow Flame Medicine Lodge”, a formal part of the many giving and charitable functions that have been supported by The 8th Fire and Algonquin Medicine Man. Most importantly he is just a man and does not purport to be anything more than that. He believes that any person can be more than what they are, and the way that we become more is to begin healing our stuff so it does not affect us or our decision making in our lives and loves. He believes that anyone or anything can heal, and is designed to heal, and that there are different types of healing. Sometimes the body heals, emotions heal, the Spirit heals, but some type of healing always takes place in Ceremony, which is why we do it. He believes that we can use the mind and The Dream Reality to help heal us and our lives, and make our lives better. He believes in prayer, that everything and everyone is Sacred, and that we all have an important role to play in this life.
