I remember the compelling smell of sandalwood in my 5-yr.-old nose when my parents would bring me to the Sivananda Yoga Centre in Montreal... where I officially met my breath and bandhas, heard the prayers of devotion, and saw the power and potential of the human body. This acquaintance has grown and flourished throughout years under the guidance of enlightened masters of body/mind, life as mother to my two daughters, 10 years meditation and Satsang in the Himalayas. My personal practice, attention, and insights have internalized these teachings, maturing into whole-life awareness that daily grounds and elevates me, and offers me a way to devote myself to health and well-being. In silence, in song, in physical strength and precision, in intellectual inquiry, and in profound relationships and activities, Yoga graces me with its gifts, and I am blessed to share its bounty with all.
