When Lisa realised the energy and enthusiasm her own practice was creating off the mat, she was inspired to share it with others. At a turning point in her career, her training in Victoria 2011 seemed like a natural next step . With this experience came a new sense of confidence and trust in the universe, leaving busy downtown Toronto and (finally) spent each day feeling engaged, and passionate about her work. She found increased energy, inspiration, and freedom. Lisa graduated from the month intensive portion of Moksha Yoga teacher training held in Victoria in June 2011. In June 2012, she completed the accompanying 11 month distance learning component, earning her 500hr Moksha Yoga teaching certification. In May 2012 Lisa studied under Mark Laham & Louise Cameron in the practice of Yin Yoga. That same month she added the Moksha Flow certification to her qualifications, under the guidance of the wonderful Dina Tsouluhas and Darcy Hagerman. Off the mat, Lisa is working to bring Moksha’s pillar of accessibility into the accounting world. With a goal of making numbers less intimidating (andthensum.ca), she is building a small business to support the sustainable enterprise – a genre of business closely linked to her Master’s studies at University of Waterloo.
