Spring has sprung, and summer is just on the horizon. There’s no better time to boost your personal wellbeing and give yourself a spiritual rebirth. We know it’s easier said than done, especially if you’re a busy working professional or if you’ve been struggling through tough times.

However, there are several simple tools you can use to boost your overall wellness. Here are 5 of the best and most effective tools that’ll help you reduce your stress and be the best possible you!

1. Journal

For many people, a journal is the most effective wellness tool in their arsenal. Lots of studies have suggested that writing in a journal is a great way to relieve stress and declutter your mind.

There aren’t any rules to a journal—you can write whatever you want in it. If you have any thoughts or emotions that just keep bouncing around inside your brain, write them out in a journal to excise them from your mind. Or, exercise your creativity by writing poetry or fiction. Creative writing is an excellent way to make sense of your emotions and express your inner feelings.

Whenever you feel like you have too much going on in your head, use a journal to put some of those ideas onto paper.

2. Essential Oil Diffuser

Essential oils are natural extracts from a variety of different herbs. If you’ve never tried one, now’s the best time to start—essential oils are an absolutely wonderful way to soothe your body and calm your mind. There are different ways that you can use essential oils, depending on the kind you have. The most popular thing to do is to rub some in your hands, and then press your hands against your nostrils to absorb the potent and lovely scent. Essential oil scents can help you clear your breathing passageways, and they make you feel good, too! You can also rub essential oils on your shoulders or on the back of your neck, which helps relieve tension in those areas.

But here’s an even better way to use the oils: put them in an essential oil diffuser and let the diffuser disperse the scent into the air in whatever room you’re in. You can use a diffuser to create a more soothing environment while you mediate.

3. Aura Camera

Here’s a fun holistic tool that you can use to improve your sense of self: an aura camera machine. According to some holistic religious beliefs, everyone has a colorful aura that surrounds their body. An aura is invisible to the naked eye, but its hidden colors reflect your personality and your current emotional state.

An aura camera uses a sensor to take a reading of your palm, and then it creates an interpretation of what your aura might look like based on the sensor reading. You can take a really cool selfie of yourself that has your colorful arura surrounding your image. Every aura photograph has a unique combination of colors, and so taking a selfie with an aura camera is a terrific way to remind yourself of all your unique qualities.

4. Muscle Rollers

Muscle rollers are very simple tools that you can use to eliminate muscle aches or tightness. Stress can cause our muscles to tighten in an uncomfortable way. Or, tightened muscles can make us feel more stressed or unhappy. Muscle rollers are the solution. If you’ve got a sore muscle, just roll the muscle roller against that muscle until it loosens out. You can even get larger, foam muscle rollers and perform exercises with them on a yoga mat.

5. Book

Sometimes, you just need to slip away from the world. Rather than watching a movie or TV show, dive into a good book! Here’s the problem with watching TV or movies: typically, your TV screen or computer monitor emits blue light that irritates your eyes. Watching TV is also a very passive experience and it can dull your senses in a negative way. On the other hand, reading a book stimulates your brain and bolsters your imagination.

If you want to read fiction, check out Goodreads.com to get suggestions on books that may interest you. But you don’t have to read a novel. You can read a self-help book to help you boost your self-confidence or sense of self.
